Maddie’s Musts March’24
How is it already March?! The first quarter of 2024 has seriously flownnnn by. 🤯 I wanted to take a second to check in with you. How are you feeling? Are you still working towards your goals?
When January and the new year comes around, I think it always makes everyone feel like they should be doing more, trying new things, & setting new goals, but we forget that it’s still the middle of winter. (aka: do I have to get out of my pjs today? 😆)
Now that spring is finally here (literally! Today is the first day! 😍☺️💐☀️) I want to encourage you to hit the “reset” button & make today your fresh start! You are so deserving of feeling healthy + happy in your own skin, & I want to help you get there this year. (no matter what the last couple of months have looked like for you!)
I’m so pumped to share some of these “musts” with you! I think they’re just what we need for a fresh start this spring! 💗
FOOD
Cucumbers. Yes… cucumbers. 😂 I can’t get enough lately! I eat the cucumber whole (like a pickle lol) but I do peel it first bc I don’t personally like the taste of the peel. (you do you!) If you struggle to get water in, cucumbers are a great veggie for cellular hydration. They’re 96% water & loaded with antioxidants & minerals & anti-inflammatory properties. You can also peel & freeze them and then ice your face w/ them in the morning and it’s SO rejuvenating!
...Cucumbers also contain silica, a compound that can help improve skin complexion & promote collagen production, which is necessary for healthy hair, skin, & nails… but great for your gut, too!Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Gnocchi. (I actually have a reel I’ll be posting soon to share how I make them! they’re kinda delicate, so this is truly the BEST way to prepare them!)
We have them multiple nights as a side with dinner and I love how simple the ingredients are + that it keeps my blood sugar balanced even though it’s very dense & high “carb-y” tasting

I just shared a recent post about all the benefits of matcha & a recent study done on mice. (I also share in the post that not all matcha is made the same, which is why I love Pique so much. the quality is unbeatable) The study showed that EGCG (a powerful antioxidant found in matcha) lowered the death risk by 47% & extended the median lifespan by 25%!! 😲 I know we’re not mice, but that’s pretty promising!!
EGCG in matcha improves the detoxification processes in the body which helps decrease inflammation & blood sugar levels which = lower cortisol levels! + it helps reduce the risk of cancer, improves digestion, & great for your immune system. Moral of the story = drink. more. Matcha 😆😋
