Crispy Bacon Brussels Sprouts

CRISPY BACON BRUSSELS SPROUTS

One of my most favorite combos — brussels sprouts and bacon! Such a yummy dish to bring to a potluck, family dinner, or Thanksgiving feast!

This recipe targets:

Paleo | Dairy-Free | Gluten-Free | Sugar-Free

This side dish is full of fiber, healthy fats, and protein to satiate you and leave you feeling gooood after that Thanksgiving feast! Helping to keep your blood-sugar steady, you won’t get that sleepy feeling that so many get after indulging!

Ingredient list

  • 4-5 strips of no-sugar added butcherbox bacon

  • 1 pound organic brussels sprouts

  • Sea salt and Pepper to taste

  • 1-2 tablespoon ghee or avocado oil (optional)

Dietary benefits

  • Gluten-free

  • Dairy-free

  • Paleo

  • Sugar-free

Steps

Step 1

Cut ends off of your brussels sprouts (throw the ends away!), and then chop brussels in half. Then, chop your bacon into small chunks.

Step 2

Saute bacon in a large skillet until crispy (3-5 minutes). When bacon is done, take out with tongs and set on a plate lined with a paper towel. Leave bacon fat in the pan.

Step 3

Saute the brussels in the bacon fat (on medium/high heat) for about 10-12 minutes. I like to cook them for longer so that they’re more tender! Cook until they are golden brown and crispy on the outsides, but tender on the insides!

Step 4

Add bacon in with the brussels, and mix thoroughly. Season them to taste. ENJOY! :)
